A service provider is an organization that, in the MASAI context, provides travel related services to end users. This travel related services are not limited e.g. to transportation or hospitality services but may contain all other services the end users need to make their travel to a success, regardless whether for business or leisure. End users in this context are travellers.
From a business perspective, service providers can be distinguished by the type of services they offer. In the MASAI context no distinction is made whether the service provider offers physical services (e.g. a train by Deutsche Bahn), digital services (e.g. the Capitaine Train application) or technical services (e.g. online payment by Brick). A service provider participating in the MASAI community is regarded as a legal entity that can contribute one or more modules.
